When your butterflies arrive, it's important to ensure they are in good condition. Here's what to do:

1. Open the shipping box and carefully read the provided instructions.
2. Remove a few butterfly envelopes from the box (approximately 2 to 6, depending on your order size) and listen for any movement inside the envelopes.

Remember, the butterflies are shipped with dry ice to maintain a cool temperature, which keeps them calm and may reduce noticeable movement. If you don't hear anything:

• Gently open an envelope just enough to peek inside. You should see the butterflies begin to move their wings, indicating they are healthy.
• After checking, place them back in the dry ice insulated box. If necessary, you can replace the dry ice with a fresh ice pack to keep them cool until it's time for release.

At least one hour before the release, take the butterflies out from the insulated box and away from any ice packs. This step is crucial for allowing them to gradually warm up, preparing their bodies and wings for flight.

It is important to avoid placing the butterflies in direct sunlight, near a heating source, or in excessively hot environments such as a parked vehicle or a heated room. The goal is to allow them to warm up naturally, without overheating.

When distributing the butterflies to guests, kindly remind them that the containers hold live butterflies. Advise them to handle the containers gently and wait for the scheduled release time.

For events on Sundays, we recommend a Friday delivery, as a missed Saturday delivery would result in a Monday arrival. Please be aware that some locations may not offer Saturday delivery.

For Tuesday events, your butterflies will be delivered on the event day itself. FedEx does not ship on Sundays, and to adhere to our ethical standards against having live butterflies in hot warehouses over the weekend, we dispatch them on Monday for a Tuesday delivery, typically by 10:30 AM in most areas.

The optimal period for releasing butterflies, ensuring their best flight and activity, traditionally spans from mid-April to mid-October in most regions of the United States.

This is due to their need for warmer weather conditions. However, there may be limited exceptions subject to availability and favorable weather conditions outside of this timeframe.

Yes, certain environmental regulations prohibit the shipment or release of specific butterfly species in certain areas. Please note:
